About
Hello and thank you for stopping by. My name is Heather Re. My husband, Lawrence Fredericks and I are so excited to be opening Piéce d'Occasion, Ceramic Studio.
Here is a little bit about me. I can't wait to meet you and learn more about you and your family. I ran a Paint Your Own Pottery Studio for over 10 years while going to High School and College. Yes, you could say I was a not a traditional student. I absolutely loved it and am still so grateful for the experience that would, ironically, ultimately change my career path. I did eventually graduate and although my degree was in Media and Communications, my first job out of college was as a customer service representative for TD Bank. I really liked banking, especially the customers I was helping. I moved on to become a Certified Consumer Lender and then the Financial Representative for my branch, becoming a licensed Insurance Representative. Although I really enjoyed the work, working in a creative setting still called to me. And so, Plaster A Go-Go was born! Plaster A Go-Go was mobile and we specialized in Plastercraft Painting Projects. We also worked with clay and mixed media crafts. You may have even seen the "Go-Go Mobile" around town. It's hard to miss a red Fiat with flowers all over it. We worked with Big Brothers Big Sisters and multiple schools for group activities, ran birthday parties and fostered relationships with other local businesses for Storytime Projects, Jewelry Painting projects and more. We helped local schools with Paint and Sip events for Fundraisers and provided painting and art projects for Afterschool Programs. We were on the go go for sure! Plaster A Go-Go had to take a break due to more than a few major life events but now we are able to realize the full potential and scope of all my experiences and we are so very happy to be here at Piéce d'Occasion. It truly takes a community and we need your help! Please help spread the word, like and share! We'd love for you to be a part of this amazing journey. If you are a local artist or know of someone who might like to sell their paintings, art work or handmade items at the studio, we'd love to hear from you. Also let us know if you have any suggestions or classes you'd like to see. Thanks again for stopping by and we can't wait to meet you! Sincerely, Heather |
